About Us
EAChO specialises in chamber orchestra repertoire, which means that we play lots of Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, and Brahms, as well as some virtuosic twentieth-century repertoire by the likes of Bartók, Britten, Copeland, Prokofiev, Schoenberg, Shostakovich, and Stravinsky.
We also work regularly with some of the region’s leading choirs. Most programmes contain a mixture of the familiar and the less well-known.
Many of our players make a living from music, and most of those do some teaching, so education is close to our hearts.
We offer low-price tickets to under 18s and are always looking for ways to inspire the next generation of players and listeners.
On our website you can read more about our story, and find out what our current members love about the orchestra and view our past concert listings.
If you’re a talented local player you can find out how to join us.
